Election to the role of APComm Vice Chair

December 9, 2019Charlotte ParkerLatestNews

As you will be aware, the opportunity to stand for the role of APComm Vice Chair opened in November, concluding on Monday 2 December 2019.

We were absolutely delighted when seven members put their names forward as candidates.

After discussion, the APComm executive took the decision that for the period 2020 – 2022, we will extend the number of Vice Chairs to accommodate all those standing for the role. This means that we will not move to an election process.

The decision to move from four to seven Vice Chairs for this period is in recognition of the breadth and complexity of the ongoing work streams being developed and delivered for the benefit of members by APComm.

In January the new APComm executive will meet to set objectives for the refreshed Business and Training Plan. The increase in the number of Vice Chairs will allow your professional Association to deliver even more to benefit you in the challenging role of police communicator.

So, all that remains is to introduce you to your new Vice Chairs . Read on to meet the people and share their vision of taking APComm forward.

Finally, it is with regret that we say farewell to two of our current Vice Chairs, Charlotte Parker and Dan Mountain, who have taken the decision to step down. A HUGE thank you goes to both for their contributions to the work of APComm over the past two years.
